HolidayFest on the Grand 2011!

The Portland Main Street program, the Portland Community Arts Council, and our great businesses invite you to bring the family downtown for our annual "HolidayFest on the Grand" celebration on November 18th and 19th!

Highlighting this year's event are our annual carriage rides downtown, the return of our "Snowball Drop" on Maple Street, and the lighting of the City Christmas Tree!

2011 HolidayFest Parade -- November 19th at 6:00 pm!

Our biggest news is a new event on Saturday, November 19th at 6:00 pm -- we will be hosting a HolidayFest parade on Kent Street!

The parade will begin at 6:00 pm at the Portland District Library and will head north down Kent Street to Grand River Avenue. From there, the parade will turn left on Grand River and will then turn left on Water Street. The route will then loop back to Kent Street, utilizing the Veteran’s Memorial Bridge. Immediately following the parade will be the lighting of the City Christmas Tree in Scout Park.

If you are coming down for the parade, please be aware that Kent Street, Bridge Street, Grand River Avenue, and Water Street will each be closed to traffic downtown during this event beginning at 5:30 pm on November 19th.
